OSCAR ZANETTI

Oscar Zanetti was born in Murano in 1961. One of the most important ancestors was the abbot Vincenzo Zanetti (1824-1883), founder of Murano Glass Museum. Oscar started working with glass at the age of 14 while attending the local art school.

Oscar’s professional training lasted about fourteen years, spent in the most prestigious glass factories such as Venini, La Murrina and Barovier & Toso where he had the opportunity to perfect the technique, before joining the family laboratory.

Oscar Zanetti has inherited not only the creative talent of his family, but also the passion for naturalistic subjects. Oscar Zanetti follows the rigorous traditional techniques of working with Murano glass, but he also pushes for design innovations. His works are appreciated for the colors and the complexity of the technique.
